PROVIDENCE, Ky. -- Maudell Oakley, 69, of Providence, died at 12:58 p.m. Monday, July 26, 1999, at Welborn Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
Born Dec. 16, 1929, in Providence, Ky., she was the daughter of the late John Cecil and Elsie Green.
She was a member of the Audrey Sigler Missionary Society at the Providence General Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
She is survived by her husband, Alva Ray Oakley of Providence; two sons, Perry Ray Oakley of Kuttawa, Ky., and Kerry Alan Oakley of Providence; two brothers, John W. Green of Providence, and the Rev. Cecil Green Jr. of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Armstrong of Alanson, Mich., and Sandra Baxla of Columbia, S.C.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence, with the Rev. Barry Cullen officiating. Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery in Providence.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky.
Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
