Musician. Born Milton Bloom, he was a jazz trumpet player whom began his career in the early 1920s, performing in the musical garden of the St. Louis Five. In 1927, he joined bandleader Irving Aaronson for several European tours and played behind bandleaders to include Walt Rosner, Hal Kemp, Johnny Mince, the Dorsey Brothers and Rudy Vallee in the 1930s. During the 1940s to 1950s, he worked as a Hollywood studio session men on a variety of recordings including commercials and movie soundtracks. He also dabbled in songwriting, writing a few pop songs such as "You're OK". His older brother was the noted jazz pianist and composer, Rube Bloom.
