His Bible was well-worn and the scriptures he wanted his family to share were Psalms 91 and 103 and James1:2-8. His favorite hymns were "I Stand Amazed" and "In Christ Alone". Jerry and I spent a lot of time talking and praying together after he was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2012. He worked at Derby Lane Dog Track until just before Christmas and died peacefully and without pain. It was a true blessing

He was married for 38 years to Annette (Annette P Vandersalm) and they had two wonderful sons, Nathan and Justin. Nathan is an anesthesiologist at St. Anthony's. Justin works for a security firm and is in the Coast Guard Reserves.

We are celebrating his life and his resurrection and we hope you will, too.

ALDERSON, Jerry Lee 72, of Clearwater, went to be with our Lord early on the morning of Feb. 1, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Annette; his sons, Nathan and Justin (Ashley). Surviving relatives include siblings, Carolyn (Robert) Rhodes, Barbara Ann (Jim) Blue, Allan Alderson; other relatives, E.J. (Eleanor) Alderson, and Audrey (John) Walcheski.
