ELKHART -- George D. Lott, 61, of Elkhart, died at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Jan. 2, 1950, in Elkhart to Marshall and Betty (Thomas) Lott.
Surviving are two daughters, Brandi (Chuck) Millslagle and Jacqueline Lott, and one son, Brandon Lott, all of Elkhart. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Addison and Declan Millslagle; one brother, Thomas (Linda) Lott of Elkhart; one sister, Mary (Fred) Flegal of Vicksburg, Mich.; and his companion of 26 years, Julia Bussard and Julia's daughter, Jamie (Josh) Greenway, and Jamie's children, Cody, Karley and Makaila.
George was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Michael Lott; and sister-in-law Brenda Lott.
George graduated in 1968 from Elkhart Central High School. He received a B.S. degree in accounting from IU South Bend. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, working in his yard and washing his truck. George worked the RV industry since he was 16 years old and was a division manager at Forest River.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. A vigil service will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Fr. Bill Sullivan from St. Thomas Catholic Church will preside, and burial will follow in Violett Cemetery in Goshen.
