Mrs. Dorothy Ann Sutter, 93, of Rogers, Arkansas formerly of Jane, Missouri departed this life on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Jamestown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rogers, Arkansas after a recent decline in health. Dorothy entered this life on September 17, 1918 in Walton, Kansas born to the union of the late David and Anna (Goossen) Lehrman. While in the 3rd grade, she moved with her family to Newton, Kansas. On September 18, 1935, she was united in marriage to Winford Wayne "Buss" Sutter and to this union one son and three daughters were born. She and Buss resided in Wichita, Kansas until eventually retiring to their farm in Jane, Missouri. After Buss passed away, Dorothy sold the farm and in 1990 she moved to Rogers, Arkansas to be closer to her son. She was a member of the Daystar Church of God in Rogers, Arkansas. She enjoyed painting, sewing, flower gardening and spending time doing the work of the church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buss Sutter on November 30, 1988; a brother, Melvin Lehrman; and a sister, Pauline Fox. Dorothy is survived by one son, Roger Sutter and wife, Bonnie, of Rogers, Arkansas; three daughters, Karen Burns of Dallas, Texas, Deanna Kimbril and husband, Bud, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Gayanna Rule of Drumright, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren; a brother, Bill Lehrman of Newton, Kansas; and a sister, Hilda Higgins of Walton, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Sutter are 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Brush Creek Cemetery near Jane, Missouri with Rev. Lowell Sartin officiating.
