Alice V. MacArthur, 71, of 2512 Apple Lane died June 25, 1992, at her home.

She was born July 27, 1920 near Rush Center, the daughter of Walter H. and Charlotte Fyler Renner. A resident of Hutchinson since 1950.

She was a member of the Union Valley Church, the Union Valley EHU, the Grandma's Club and the Apple Lane Club, all of Hutchinson.

On Sept 11, 1943, she married Chester MacArthur at Hutchinson, he survives. At this time, she was one of the first women hired by Cessna Aircraft during World War II.

Other survivors include: three sons, Keith L. 422 East C, Walter D., 7700 Cottontail Dr. and Rodney A., 726 East A; two sisters, Ruth Wilson, LaCrosse, and Dorothy Scheideman, Great Bend; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and
two step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Osenbaugh Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Stephen Harrier presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and the family will recieve friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Osenbaugh Funeral Home, Hutchinson. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Welcome Cemetery, Alta Vista.

Memorials may go to the Hospice of Reno County in care of the funeral home.
