Lawrence Robins, 71, of Marble Hill died Jan. 2, 2005, at his home.
He was born April 29, 1933, at Bessville, MO, son of William Robert and Anna Loretta Zinn Robins. He and Evelyn Sitze were married July 15, 1955.
Robins was employed by AT&T 33 years. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, and was a member of Communication Workers of America.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was awarded four Bronze Stars.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Robins of Arnold, MO; four daughters, Vicky Rambo of Arnold, Sandra Robins of Lewiston, ID, Karen Wright and Lori Jones of Marble Hill; four brothers, Monroe, Lester, Jack and Ivan Robins, all of Marble Hill; four sisters, Virginia Potter of Lubbock, TX, Florence Barton of House Springs, MO, Irene Seir of High Ridge, MO, Caroline Smith of Harrison, AR; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a stepgrandson; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and a step-grandson.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill today and Thursday at New Salem Baptist Church.
The funeral will be Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will be in Glenallen Cemetery at Glenallen, MO, with full military honors provided by Missouri Military Honors Team.
