Floyd was a son of Henry A. Morris and Judith E. Byrd, both natives of Tennessee. They were married in 1877 and came to Arkansas the following year. He married Faye Luna Dilbeck about 1921 in Independence Township, Baxter County, and she gave birth to their son T.B. Morris the following year. As far as we know, he was their only child.
