Sons, John and Ezekiel, had removed from NY and were farmers living next door to one another in Ingrahm Michigan by 1850. The VINTON MEMORIAL places James in Naples NY in 1853. James has been reported to have been living in Michigan at the time of his death, so he may be the James Niles who is listed on an 1859 Michigan mortality schedule as: "age 87, a pauper born NY". Another Niles researcher has suggested that he is 'probably the James Niles who died in 1853 in NY'.
