DENNIS LEE GALLOWAY, died at 72 years of age on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville from Peripheral Artery Disease.
On June 1, 1934, Floyd Ottis and Maggie (Mickler) Galloway were blessed with a bouncing baby boy in French Lick, Indiana.
Dennie had a step-brother, Clifford R. Owens, that preceded him in death.
He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Dennie was married previously to Janie Crays of Shoals, and they had a son, Scotty, who could never do any wrong and was the apple of everyone's eye.
At the guidance of his Uncle "Plute" Bledsoe, Dennie became a long-distance hauler for A & H Trucking Co. In 1998, he retired as a teamster for A & H Trucking Co. in Tell City, Indiana.
Dennie's "hobby" was his motorcycle. His love for it flowed over onto Scotty and he continued in his dad's footsteps.
His leaves to mourn his wife, Rose Galloway, in New Albany, along with his son, Scott Galloway and his wife, Darleen, of Borden, Indiana.
Other survivors are 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and step-children Ricky Stansberry in New Washington, Indiana, and Melissa Ferrell.
Visitation and funeral service was held at the Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany.
We said our final goodbyes at the burial in the Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park on September 5, 2006.
(Dennie was also married to Rose's best friend, Gracie. Dennie and Rose married a few years after Gracie's sad death.)
