A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Long Tom Grange for Eldon L. Hasselblad of Junction City who died Aug. 12 of diabetes. He was 59.

He was born Nov. 5, 1950 in Newberg to Beldon and Louise Moday Hasselblad. He married Lana Evers on Jan. 30, 1979 in Reno, NV.

He was a graduate of the University of Oregon and the founder of Misty Valley Mushrooms. He was Mr. November in 2004 and 2007 for the 'Men of Long Tom Grange' calendars.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Hasselblad of Mancelona, MI, Mark Chance of Eugene and Rusty Kelley of Creswell; two daughters, Bonnie Comen of Davison, MI and Lori Chance of Harrisburg; a brother, Randy Hasselblad of Flint, MI, 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements have been made by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield. Remembrances can be made to the Long Tom Grange or College Endowment Funds.
