Death: Oct. 12, 2010

William L. Reinig (Bill), Emmett, went to be with his Lord in the early morning hours of October 12, 2010. Bill was born June 7, 1911 to Anna and Louis Reinig in the Bronx, NY. He attended Hamilton College and Harvard University before entering WWII as part of the 82nd Airborne. Following his discharge he came to Boise to visit his sister and never left. Here he met his wife Ida Murphy (Pat) whom he married in January 1947. Bill worked for Empire Airlines and then the State of Idaho while maintaining his military through the Idaho National Guard (retiring as a Lt. Colonel). Bill and Pat were active in the community and upon Bill's retirement they moved to Garden Valley where they once again were active community members and did lots of travel during the next 20 years. Age had them moving to Emmett where Bill lived for the last five years. Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife Pat of 62 years, his parents and siblings. He is survived by his two sons, Ron (Cherie) of Emmett and Bill Jr. (Marjie) of Kennewich, WA; grandchildren Jessica, Yavohne, Zack, Nik and Jany; great grandchildren Karlee, Alex, Lizzy and Ian; and great great grandchildren Kendall and Timothy.

You were always a great story teller and shared several stories with me and my sons. Thank you for your gift of time and interest in sharing who you were and the family man you were. We miss you Uncle Bud.
