Mrs. Cecelia Pionke, 82, a resident of the town of Almond for 60 yeears, died Monday noon at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Meyer of the town of Almond. She had been ailing the past year and was confined to bed two and a half months before her death.

Mrs. Pionke was born on Nov. 7, 1865 in Poland where her marriage to Martin Pionke took place when she was 17 years old. The couple came to this country 60 years ago and located in the vicinity of the present family home. Mr. Pionke died on Jan. 1, 1924.

Surviving are five children, Martin Pionke of Hancock, Joe of Marshfield and Mrs. Rhyna Evertt, Mrs. Matt Meyer and Mrs. Hugh Doherty of the town of Almond, a brother, Frank Brotsky of Berlin, a sister, Mrs. Anna Fleischman of Milwaukee, 40 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren. One child died in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Andrew Petrusky, died in 1919.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at Guardian Angel Catholic church at Almond. Rev. Roman Paterick officiated at a requiem high mass and burial followed in the parish cemetery, which is near the home at which Mrs. Pionke located when coming to this country. Martin Wiora was the organist. Mass servers were George Meyer and James Doherty, grandsons.

Pallbearers were Martin Pionke, Jr., John Pionke, Henry Pionke, Frank Evertt, Raymond Evertt, William Petrusky and Matthew Meyrs, Jr., all grandson.

Amond those attending the funeral were all of her children and their husbands and wives, Mr. Petrusky, 32 grandchildren, a number of her great grandchildren, her brother, Frank Brotsky of Berlin and others from Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Ripon, Berlin, Columbus, Madison, Milwaukee, Campbellsport, Escanaba, Mich., and New York.
