Actor. Born George Charles Mayer, III, he was raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey and attended Colgate University from where he received his business degree. He developed an interest in acting and began appearing on TV during the early 1980s, his first prominent role was of Vance Duke (during the absence of John Schneider and Tom Wopat) on the series "The Dukes of Hazzard" (1982 to 1983), reprising the part as he provided his voice for the animated series "The Dukes" (1983). He was also identifiable to television audiences for his role of Pete Bozak in the series "Glitter" (1984 to 1985) and as T.J. Daniels in the daytime serial "Santa Barbara" (1987 to 1988). Among his other television credits include "Sliders", "Baywatch" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine". He was formerly married to actress Eileen Davidson and Teri Copley.
