She was the daughter of John George Rosenberger and Maria Anna Kostohryz. She married Louis Francis Ernst on May 22, 1948 at St. Wenceslaus Church in Baltimore, Maryland.

On January 9, 2001, HELEN M. (nee Rosenberger), a member of the AARP, Dunfield-Fullerton Chapter, beloved wife of the late Louis F. Ernst, devoted mother of Janet E. Schneider and her husband James, Marty J. and Charlotte M. Ernst, loving grandmother of Mindy, Jessica and Jason, dear sister of Rita Pollock, Norbert Rosenberger and the late Anthony Rosenberger.
A Vigil Service will be held at the Leonard J. Ruck Funeral Home, Inc., 5305 Harford Road (at Echodale) on Friday 4 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church on Saturday 9:30 A.M. Interment Gardens of Faith Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday and Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation, 7601 Osler Drive, Towson, MD 21204, Attn. Sharon Dorn.
