Mr. Buchanan died Friday, August 4, 2000 after a brief illness. He was born in Crockett, Texas and was a resident of Shreveport. He was a retired upholstery school teacher with Bossier Parish School Board. He was a Baptist, a member of Joppa Masonic Lodge #362, a member of Scottish Rite, El Karubah Shrine, Odd Fellows, Woodman Of The World and served as chaplain of the V.F.W.
Mr. Buchanan is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Buchanan of Shreveport, LA; three sons, David Buchanan, Noel Buchanan and James Buchanan, stepson, Charles Seaton, all of Texas; daughter, Darlene Goode of Texas; step-daughter, Carolyn Johnson of Shreveport, LA; and numerous grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Masons.
