"Sparta. June 21- Funeral services for d.B Lovejoy ,58, were held here at the Methodist Church Thursday at 4:30p.m. with his pastor, Rev Ray P. Ethridge, and a former pastor ,Rev. A.B. Elizer of Augusta officiating. Mr. Lovejoy died Wednesday following a stroke of paralysis which he suffered Monday at his home near here. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mamie Lanier Lovejoy; two daughters, Mrs Douglas Tanner and Mrs C.V. Johnson of this city, two brothers,W.H. Lovejoy of Sparta and Oscar Lovejoy of Jackonsville,Fla."
