Peter Dagestad, 76, died September 13, at his home in North Bagley. He was born May 7, 1902 at Dennison, Minnesota and came to Copley Township with his family in 1912 and has lived in this area since.
He was first married to Christine Fultz. In 1934 he was married to Mariom Steindl, who passed away in 1977. On December 3, 1977 he was married to Corrine MacDonald.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six step children: Mary (Mrs. Don Rochwall), Kenosha, Wisconsin; William McDonald, Meadowlands, Minnesota; Julia (Mrs. Albert Fradenburgh), Baker, Montana; James McDonald, Allen, Nebraska; Hazel, (Mrs. Dennis LaCroix), Bemidji; and Carrie (Mrs. David Harmon), Clearbrook; and by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two wives, two brothers, two sisters, one son and one daughter.
He was employed by Clearwater-Polk Electric Cooperative for many years until his retirement in 1960. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Bagley Sportsman Club and was a former member of the Copley Town Board.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. M. C. Davig officiating. Burial was made in the Bagley City Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
