William V. Province, Irondale, died June 18 at Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital at the age of 96. He was born April 21, 1884 in Missouri to the late John L. and Susanne Sutton Province. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Province. He is survived by three sons: William Province of Barnhart, Arthur W. Province of St. Louis and Norman Province of Irondale; three daughters: Alma Marie (Mrs. Freeman) Schoenseld of Belle Glade, Fla., Ruth [should be Ruby] (Mrs. Ralph) Kirk of Belle Glade, Fla., and Ruth (Mrs. Kenneth) Brennecke of Cahokia, Ill., and two brothers, James Province and Quint Province, both of Irondale. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Bert Boyer Funeral Home today. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Irondale Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Caledonia Cemetery.
