Final rites for the Rev. P. M. Hinton, 75, retired Baptist minister, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Central Baptist Church with the Rev. C. Roger Johnson and the Rev. Charles B. Littleton officiating. Interment, under the direction of the Hall Funeral Home, will be in the Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Hinton died early Tuesday at his home following a long illness.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ada Gray Hinton, Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. W. S. Wall, Farmington, N.M.; five sons, Grady, Tulsa, Okla.; Paul, Pasadena, Tex., Clyde, Ferriday, and Ernest and James Hinton, both of Houston, Tex.; 11 grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Hinton had held pastorates in several Baptist churches throughout Northeast Louisiana and was a member of the Masons, Eastern Star and Odd-fellows.

Pallbearers will be Ira Barton, Talmadge Gable, Harold McGriff Sr., Ben Tarver, C. L. Hinton Sr. and J. J. David.
