Services for Elton Ray Weeks, age 47, of Grayson were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 1999 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Mike Green officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.
Mr. Weeks was born May 17, 1951 to the union of Walter Ray and Gertrude Brown Weeks and died Friday, February 26, 1999 at the North Rehabilitation Center in Ruston.
He was an electrician with Louisiana Pacific Corporation in Urania. He was also a member of the Grayson Baptist Church.
Survivors include his aunts: Mrs. Delina Brown Kern of Mesquite, Texas and Mrs. Elne Mae Clark of Walnut Grove, Ms.; his uncles: Robert E. "Bob" Brown of Columbia and Ira Cecil Weeks of Bastrop and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers were Danny Stapleton, Lee Ashcroft, Joe Brown, Allen Brown, Buddy Nelson and Eugene Temple.
