Miss Arndt, 65, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. The daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Pace) Arndt, Kit was born on September 3, 1946 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. A Charlotte resident since 1963, Kit served with the US Army and the Army Reserve. She retired at the rank of Sergeant following the first Desert Storm. Miss Arndt enjoyed working in the yard and especially in her vegetable garden.
Kit is survived by her brothers Richard and Kirk Arndt; sisters Terrie (Fred) Del LaGarza and Denise Smith, all of Charlotte and Patricia Anderson of Kannapolis; long time companion Lynette White of Charlotte. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will follow at 11 AM in Sharon Memorial Park.
