Treon was born Nov. 14, 1940, in St. Paul, Minn., to Avery and Ruth Clauson Treon.
A Eugene area resident for 25 years, he previously lived in Red Wing, Minn., Trinidad, Colo., Bandon and Veneta. He served as a radio operator in the Army. He had trained and worked as a respiratory therapist. He also was trained in electronic musical instrument repair, and enjoyed music, travel and electronics.
His family will remember him for his sense of humor and love of music.
Survivors include his life partner of 26 years, Katie Swett; two daughters, Ruth Treon of Eugene and Sarah Leonard of Ellsworth, Wis.; two sons, Dylan and Jesse, both of Eugene; a brother, Martin, of Goodyear, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
Saturday's drop-in reception will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Lamb Cottage in Skinner Butte Park.
Roseburg Chapel of the Firs is in charge of arrangements.
