Joanne Kaye Sims, 70, Flanagan, died at 12:31 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 16, 2013) at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
She was born Aug. 9, 1943 in Streator, daughter of Rollie and Selma Thorson Hosier. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Donald (Marra) Hosier, Bobby Hosier and Lloyd Hosier. She married Frank Sims on Nov. 2, 1963 in Dwight. He siurvives.
She is also survived by her children, Mark (Ginny) Sims, Debra Sims and Chris (Jenny) Sims; three grandchildren, William, Hailey and Cameron Sims; one sister, Sandra Schafer; one brother, Paul (Joyce) Hosier and a sister-in-law, Sally Hosier.
She was employed at the Pontiac Correctional Center for more than 32 years in the human resources department.
