Gail E Mowrey was born in Vernal, Utah October 31, 1913 to Gerald Ray Mowrey and Mary Elizabeth Carroll. He had one brother, Clayton "Pete" Mowrey. Gail married his 3rd and last wife, June Erekson Baker on January 3, 1947.
Gail and June had 4 children (3 from June's previous marriage whom he adopted). Kenneth Baker Mowrey, Phillip Baker Mowrey, Daniel Baker Mowrey, and Cathy Rae Mowrey.
They relocated from Vernal to Washington State in the 1948 and resided there until their deaths. Gail was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and he and June were sealed with their family at the Cardston, Alberta, Canada temple in 1959.
Gail was a member of the Plumber and Pipefitter Union and worked as a Plumber until his death. He was also a WWII veteran of the United States Navy.
Gail was also a long term Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America which he enjoyed long after his son's were advanced out. He was a much loved and involved father and he is dearly missed.
He died much to early at the age of 61 from cancer in Seattle.
Gail was the Grandson of Uriah and Geneva Mowrey who helped raise him and his brother after the death of his mother and the Great Grandson of Utah Pioneers, Harley and Martha Mowrey.
