Laura and John are listed in the 1870 census in Hopkins Co., Kentucky , but he died shortly after on 23 NOV 1870 in Hopkins County, Kentucky and is buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
She evidently removed to Colusa to live with her mother, brothers, and sisters.
