Mr. Andersen was well loved in the Wilmington community as a pharmacist that served the community's needs for 40 years as owner of Tigue Pharmacy on Concord Pike.
He served as president of the Delaware Pharmaceutical Society and as pharmacy consultant to the Delaware Medicaid program.
He directed the Home Health Division for Peoples Drug Stores and completed his pharmacy career at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Wilmington.
Mr. Andersen was a Korean War veteran.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, October 7, from 6-9 pm at the Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone & Milltown Rds., Wilmington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, October 8, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4th St. & Bancroft Pkwy. at 10 am.
Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington
