Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. — Jay G. Noser Sr. (Sarge) left this life peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008.
Jay served 19 years on the Florissant Police Department, retiring after being shot numerous times while attempting to apprehend a bank holdup suspect. For the past 25 years he lived in Lake Ozark, Mo., where he developed a passion for woodworking.
He is the cherished husband for 30 years of Judy Noser (Daugherty); beloved father of Cindy (Jerry) Shaw, J. Gregory Jr., Timothy (Karen) and William (Debbie); six grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother of Kenneth Noser (Rose); dear father-in-law; son-in-law; brother-in-law; uncle and friend to many.
Jay donated his body to Washington University. He requested memorial contributions to C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors) P.O. Box 3199, Camdenton, MO 65020 or www.nationalcops.org.
There will be no services.
