Marilyn was a member of the Milroy United Methodist Church, Milroy Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Milroy Home Ec Club and was a Master Gardener. She was a homemaker and helped out on the farm. She loved her family, friends, animals, flowers and enjoyed vacations. Her four grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Allen, of Milroy, her mother, Barbara Herbert of Rushville, a son, Steven & wife Rebecca King and their sons, Dustin & Nathan all of Rushville, a daughter, Katie & husband Bret Madsen and their daughters, Rose & Grace all of Lafayette, brothers, Rick & wife Sally Herbert of Arizona, Larry & wife Pennie Herbert of Rushville and Mark & wife Kim Herbert of Rushville and a sister, Lisa & husband Will Flannery of Rushville. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Merlin Herbert.
Services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor Phil Mitchell presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 4-8 PM Wednesday evening, May 20. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
