Funeral services for Lawrence Benoit, 84, of China, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, in Brousard's Funeral Home. Burial wil be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 25. Mr. Benoit died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 1995, in a Beaumont hospital. A native of Welsh, he had lived in China for a number of years. He was a rice farmer. Survivors are his wife, Beulah Belile Benoit; three sons, Larry Benoit of Crystal Beach, Texas, Richard and Ronnie Benoit, both of China; two brothers, Bobby Benoit of Vinton and Arsene Benoit of Laurel, Miss.; five sisters, Ruth Mooney of New Iberia, Edna Burno, Louise McCall, Laura Bahnsen and Aileen Fontenot, all of Vinton; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China, the family said.
