She is the daughter of Allen D. SMITH and Mary Melinda WILSON.

Mrs. Emma Bryant Dies in Hospital

Mrs. Emma Bryant, old-time resident of Reno, died yesterday in a local hospital where she had been a patient for some time. She had been in failing health for several months.

Mrs. Bryant had resided in Reno for more than 40 years. She was a native of Vincennes, Ind., and was 72 years of age.

Her husband, the late William Bryant, employed for many years as secretary and office manager of the Reno Brewery, died several years ago.

She has no relatives who live in this area. Mrs. Bryant was prominent in affairs of the Order of Eastern Star, the Pythian Sisters, and the Twentieth Century Club.

The Rose-Burke Company will announce funeral arrangements.

OES Funeral Held For Mrs. Bryant

Under direction of the Eastern Star, the funeral for Mrs. Emma J. Bryant was held this afternoon at the Rose-Burke chapel. The services were conducted by the officers of Adah chapter,with the Rev. Samuel Tamblyn of the Methodist church as chaplain.

Mrs. Marguerite West sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" with organ accompaniment by Mrs. Lula Grimmer.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Chapman, Harry Kennedy, C. H. Knox, Gordon Harris, John B. Foy and William Semenza. Burial was in the family plot in the Masonic cemetery.
