Bud Easterwood married Laura V. McQuarry around 1878 It is believed that she died in 1880, possibly when her child, Mary Alice was born. Bud is believed to have moved to California, and when he got older he returned to Mississippi, first living with his sister, Fannie Lollar, and then later moving to the County Home in Webster County. He was out walking in the yard when he fell. It is believed that he died instantly of a heart attack.
