Death: Jul. 16, 1973

Johanna Wulff was born on September 13 1890 in the town of Dover to Jacob and Martha Hove Wulff. She was the youngest of 16 children. In October of 1896 her father was killed by a horse so in February of 1901 she and the other younger children and her mother left the homestead and moved to Mondovi. She grew up here and devoted her life to the care of her mother. After her mother passed away in June of 1932 Johanna followed in her footsteps by weaving rugs on the old homemade loom. During the time of her early womanhood she was very active in church work-being a Sunday School Teacher for many years and holding several offices in the Ladies Aid. She would have been a charter member of the Aid but because of illness was unable to attend the first meeting. In later years she spent some time doing housework in Minneapolis and Menominee and then returned to Mondovi to make her home with her brother Joseph and his wife Carrie. After Joseph passed away she remained with Carrie until September 6 1967 when she entered Buffalo Memorial home for the aged. She is survived by one sister, Ida C. Olson who lives in the Good Samaritan Home for the aged in Green Acres Washington and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at 1:30 Central Lutheran Church with Pastor William Schumacher officiating. Miss Mildred Norson sang "Jesus lover of my Soul" and "Abide with Me'. Interment was in the Riverside Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Wulff, Clayton Wulff, Joseph Johnson, Oscar Johnson, Kermit Wulff and Myron Sather.
