Charles Brown was the son of John Brown and Martha Thistle. He was born in Canada after his parents had immigrated from Ireland. He was one of ten children. He married Christina White, dau. of John White and Jane Elder. Three months later his brother Samuel married Christina's sister Margaret. To Charles and Christina, six children were born: John, Martha THistle, Jane Adelaide, Charles, Mary Christina and George Walter. Charles died in 1915 at the age of 80.
