Charles Fred Whittaker, 64, a life-long Rushville resident passed away 3:28 P.M., on April 9, 2011 in Indianapolis, Indiana at I. U. Medical Center. Fred was born October 31, 1946 in Rushville, IN. to Charles and Mildred (Lee) Whittaker. Fred married Beverly Moore February 13, 1965 and she survives. He had worked at the Perfect Circle Foundry for over thirty-three years - having worked at Rushville, New Castle, Angola, and Richmond from where he retired. He had been a member of the Rushville Church of Christ since 1970 and was very active there. He was also very active in Little League Baseball and Youth Football. He was a graduate of Rushville High School in the Class of 1964 before attending Louisville Bible College. Fred leaves behind his wife, Beverly Whittaker of Rushville, IN. and his mother, Mildred Whittaker of Rushville. He is survived by two sons, Brad of Rushville and Ricky Whittaker (wife, Emily) of Connersville, IN. One daughter, Mrs. Dan (Denise) Helfer of Rushville as well as four brothers, Mike, Ed, and Rick Whittaker all of Rushville, IN. and Scott Whittaker of Milroy, IN. Two Sisters, Lavonne Paugh and Candi Whittaker both of Rushville, IN. Four Grandchildren, Mrs. Dan(Samatha) Powell of Evansville and Elizabeth Helfer of Rushville, IN. and twin grandsons, Reed Charles and Curtis Allen Whittaker of Connerville. A funeral service will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday - April 13 at Moster Mortuary, with Jerry Holdman officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 P.M. Tuesday - April 12 at Moster Mortuary. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery, following services. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diebetes or Rushville Church of Christ.. Arrangements are being handled by Moster Mortuary.
