Mass of Christian Burial for Edward Peater Scadlock will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, February 2, 2009 at St. Rita Catholic Church with Father Craig Scott officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.

Pallbearers will be Modesto Scadlock, Stephen Ray, Doug Verdin, Dana Kramer, Jerry Comeaux, Henry Scadlock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Ray, Dominic Liotta, Nicholas Liotta, Cailey Scadlock, Kira Scadlock, Phoebe Scadlock, Lauren Ray, Jenna Kramer.

Mr. Scadlock, 65, of Alexandria passed away Friday, January 30, 2009 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Alexandria. He was a retired Air Force veteran with 21 years of service as a TSGT serving in Vietnam, he served one year in Korean Operation Team Spirit, where he received decorations.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Anne Caliwag Scadlock; parents, Gustave and Ceolia Breaudaux Scadlock; sisters, Lillian Scadlock Landry, Elma Scadlock Crapell, Mildred Scadlock Duvall and Geneva Scadlock; brothers, Lester James "L. J." Scadlock, Charles Scadlock, Edrick Scadlock.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Erlinda Caliwag Scadlock of Alexandria; son, Modesto James Caliwag Scadlock of Alexandria; daughters, Paulina Ceolia Caliwag Scadlock of Pollock, Mary Elizabeth Caliwag Scadlock of Alexandria, Lourdes Puno Caliwag Scadlock Kramer and her husband, Dana of Loveland, Colorado; brother, Henry Scadlock of Morgan City; sisters, Mary Ceola Scadlock Waltman of Pineville, Louise Scadlock Businelle of Morgan City, Audrey Scadlock Dinger of Pineville; ten grandchildren. Loved my many and always helped those who needed help.

Friends may call Sunday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until service time. Rosary will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Family request memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
