Memorial services with Masonic Rites for Mr. Lee Copeland, age 66, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 27, 2007 in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Mr. Copeland died Thursday, January 25, 2007 in a Tyler, Texas hospital. He was born on May 21, 1940 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Virgil Lee and Mildred Hilda Alpha Copeland and was raised and graduated school in Palestine before moving to Lindale 33 years ago. Mr. Copeland served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a Private Pilot and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was also a member of the Lindale Masonic Lodge #848 and the Damascus Baptist Church. He retired in 1987 after 25 years with B. F. Goodrich in Tyler as store manager and currently owned and operated Eagle Insurance and Investments for the last 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elizabeth Gomilla in 1997.
Mr. Copeland is survived by his Wife of 45 years, Mrs. Mary Copeland of Lindale; 2 Daughters & Sons-in-law, Angela & Cory Crowell of Lindale and Laura & Bill Motal of Poynor; Son & Daughter-in-law, Tommy & Tami Copeland of Lindale; 2 Step-Sons, David Southall and Dale Southall, both of Charleston, WV; 8 Grandchildren, Courtney Wilson of Tyler, Caitlin Crowell of Lindale, Lindsay Klatt of Tyler, Justin Copeland of Lindale, Mallory Motal of Poynor, Mason Motal of Poynor, Dale Southall, Jr. of Charleston, WV, and Melissa Newhouse of Charleston, WV; Niece, Rebecca Beck of Homer, LA and Nephew, Darrell Pierson of Alabama.
