Hubert died from Typhoid Fever at his parents' home in Hamburg, Virginia, just two weeks prior to his mother's death from the same illness. They are buried in Green Hill Cemetery in Luray, but with no grave markers. There is a Barham section at the foot of the rear hill and one can only speculate that they are buried there (There are two unmarked graves to the right rear.)
