The Reverend Fay Annette McNeill Larson of Belfair, Washington died at home on November 30th, 1991 after a lengthy illness. She was 75.
She was born Fay A. McNeill on December 30th, 1915 to Bessie E (McNeill) Hall and Harvey A McNeill in Port Angeles, Washington. Her one sister Patricia Lou (McNeill)Taylor who resided in Honolulu, Hawaii preceeds her in death.
The Reverend Larson attended Roosevelt High School in Port Angeles, Washington, graduating in 1933. She worked as a bookkeeper for Bremerton-Tacoma Stages for many years. Later she worked for the U.S. government at Bangor until her retirement in 1978.
Mrs. Larson held the degree of Doctor of Divinity, Bishop and Minister. She was ordained in 1970. She led the Chapel of Harmony, a nondemoninational congregation, in Bremerton, Washington.
An avid lover of animals and nature the Reverend Larson was a talented artist, enjoyed painting and crocheting. She was also an accomplished pianist. She had many many friends, and very proud of her Native American heritage and her ties with the James Town S'Klallam Indian Tribe, Sequim, WA.
Surivors include her husband Carl of the Family home, a daughter Diane Kemp Engel of Belfair; a son Charles Kemp of Kent; a step-son Archie Larson of Eastern Washington; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A step-son, Gary Larson, preceded her in death.
At Fay's request, there was no visitation or funeral services. Her ashes are in care of the family.
