Mrs. Evelyn Wipfler - Mrs. Evelyn Wipfler, 54, 217 E. Elm died in St. Rita's Hospital at 8:50 a.m. Thursday morning. She had been ill since June.
She was born August 1, 1904 in Lima.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George Lewis of Rt. 4; three sons, John Hawisher of Rt. 2, and Jerry Hawisher of Gallipolis; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. William Tinsman of Los Angeles and Miss Helen Curtiss of Toledo and one brother, Dwight Curtiss of Toledo.
Mrs. Wipfler was a member of the Market Street Presbyterian Church, and a former member of the Lima League of Women Voters. She had written poetry under the pen name of Dwight Aughustine.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Davis Miller and Son Catherdal Chapel with Dr. W. Wood Duff officiating. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George Lewis, John Hawisher, Keith Hawisher, Donald Greetham, Russel Lamb and Paul Binkley, Jr.
