Graveside Services for Mary Ellen Black Sims of 634 W Buford St were held Friday in Oakland Cemtery Conducted by Bishop Floyd Martin Keith Kerr and Eddie Gorski.
Mrs Sims died Wednesday Nov 11 1992 at her Residence at the age of 76.
She was the widow of Pelham Britt Sims and the Daughter of the Late Joseph Adolphus Tillman Black and Ila Westmoreland Black. A native of Cherokee County; she was a retired school teacher and nurse. and member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. She was a graduate of Limestone College.
Surviving are three sons Larry David; Harold Lance Sims of Gaffney, Sc and Heber Grant Sims of Spartanburg, SC.
a Daughter Linda Robertson of Englewood, Colorado.
She is survived by two Sisters Vivian Lee Black and Malinda Black Poole of Gaffney; Two brothers Heber Black and John Shaw Black also of Gaffney.
