Carolyn Kawejsza of Sherman, CT, passed away Friday January 2, 2015 in New Milford, CT, at the age of 62. She was born December 18, 1952 in New York, NY, daughter of the late Daniel and Ruth (Powers) Purcell. Mrs. Kawejsza was a breeder of Labrador Retrievers and a member of Holy Trinity Church in Sherman. She is survived by her husband Doug Kawejsza of Sherman, CT, her son Carl Sturino and his wife Kim of New Milford, CT, daughters Jennifer Reinbold and her husband Matt of Chicago, IL, and Julie McCormick and her husband Kyle of Wethersfield, CT, her brothers Lenny Purcell and his wife Nina of Yorktown, NY and Daniel Purcell and his wife Debbie of Virginia Beach, VA, four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday January 6, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Sherman, CT at 10 am. Internment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in New Fairfield, CT. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 to 8pm at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT.
