Edward Rosenthal, 75, of Salem died Thursday.
Born in Portsmouth, Iowa, he later moved to Salem. He was a contractor for Custom Homes, and a member of St Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his sons, Gary of Salem, Robert of Eugene, Donald of Elk Horn, Iowa; daughter, Patricia Carson of Salem; sisters, Charlotte Stewart of Harlan, Iowa and Rosemary Lajba of Omaha, Neb; and seven grandchildren.
Visiting will be 8 am to 1:30 pm Monday, with services at 2 pm, both at Rigdon-Ransom Colonial Chapel. Other services and interment will be 1:30 pm Wednesday at St Marys Cemetery in Portsmouth Iowa. Contributions: the church.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept 16 from 6-9:30 pm at Pauley Funeral Home, Harlan, and at St Mary's Catholic Church in Portsmouth on Wednesday, Sept 17 from noon-1:30 pm.
Rosenthal is survived by three sons - Gary of Salem, Robert of Eugene, Ore. and Donald of Elk Horn; one daughter, Patricia Carson of Salem; two sisters, Charlotte Stewart of Harlan and Rosemary Lajba of Omaha; and seven grandchildren.
