Owen L. Dale ''Snowball''was born in Oroville, WA on August 10, 1927 to Walter and Marie Dale and grew up in Eastern Washington. Owen passed away in his daughter's home in Spokane, WA on January 29, 2009. He is one of three children, with two sisters Iris Bomstad, Deceased and Doris Dickinson, of Butler, MO. He was married to Rose Butler from 1959-2005 and the father of three children: Walter Dale, Laura Dale and Scott Dale; of Spokane, WA; and has five grandchildren. Owen is an Army Veteran of WWII, Radar Mechanic Bombardment 867, discharged in March 1949. He loved taking care of bees and living in the country with his companion Viannah Walker. Even though Owen typically didn't have very much, he was a very generous man and offered all that he had to many whom he considered less fortunate. Those who knew him will always remember his eagerness to live life in the peacefulness of the country, no matter how difficult. A memorial service will be held at the Community of Christ Church, 11515 E Broadway, Spokane Valley, WA on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 1 pm. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Community of Christ Church, 11515 E Broadway, Spokane Valley, WA 99026.
