Known as Mariwin in her youth, she was also known as Sandy Wyatt or Sandy Curtis in later years. This is my biological mother although I never really knew her. I met her twice, and it didnt go well, but I never gave up hoping she would somehow need me in some small way. I learned of her death and decided to add her here to have a place to go and finally "visit" with her. Marion died at Mariner Health Care. She grew up in Bethesda, Maryland and had resided in St. Augustine, Florida for the past 20 years, moving there from Ana Maria Island. She was a Silversmith and owned and operated 'The Silversmith', a jewelry store on Avilies Street and also on Ana Maria Island. Preceded in death by her parents Dr. William D. Curtis & Elizabeth P Curtis . She was a grandaughter of Dr. Winterton C Curtis a key figure in the 1925 Scopes Trial. Sons, Leon and Phillip, daughter, Caroline. A daughter that was adopted at six months old, Beth. Also a son she gave up for adoption, Jon Bridewell. Eleven grandchildren, Two great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Elizabeth, Caroline and Connie.
