On May 26, 1909, Stephen was united in marriage to Miss Jessie Emmaline Tyler. To this union were born 6 children; Kenneth of Blue Rapids, KS., Lucile, Mrs. Noel Tucker, of Stafford, KS., Mary, Mrs. Bernard Spunaugle, of Irving, KS; Linus of Marysville, KS., Rollin of Hiawatha, KS., and Robert of Blue Rapids, KS.
Mr. Fincham engaged in farming near Blue Rapids throughout his life, first on rented farms, then on the "Fincham Farm" which he purchased. When ill health caused him to retire in 1949, he moved to Blue Rapids, where he made his home until his death.
In 1908 Stephen became a member of the Methodist Church in Blue Rapids and remained through the 45 years a faithful member and regular attendant. He was a loving husband and father, a friendly neighbor, and was held in high asteem by all who knew him.
Stephen passed away at his home in Blue Rapids, KS on March 6, 1953 at the age of 71 yrs., 1 month, and 14 days.
He was survived by his wife, of the home; 6 children and 11 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Tom Fincham of Blue Rapids, Isaac Fincham of Iraan, TX., Richard Fincham of Waterville,KS; 4 sisters; Mrs. Sarah Monteith and Mrs. Margaret Ewing, both of Blue Rapids, KS., Mrs. Alice Farrar of Lemon Grove, CA., and Mrs. Kathryn Shaw of Waterville, KS.; and many other relatives and a host of friends, all who mourn the passing of a good man.
Burial was in the Fairmont Cemetery, Blue Rapids, KS.
