Clement G. Hobbs 1906 - 2007 AGAWAM - Clement Gaylord Hobbs, 100, formerly of 886 Main Street, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 26, 2007 in a local nursing home. Born in Ellenburg Center, New York, he moved to Agawam in 1948. Clement had worked as a marble cutter for the former Vermont Marble and then as a machine operator for the Bosch Company and then Moore Drop Forge. He was a member of the Friends of the Senior Center and, since 1951, a member of the Agawam Congregational Church. His wife, Dorothy E. (Fredette) Hobbs died in 1999 and a son, Clement B. Hobbs died in 1955. He leaves several nieces and nephews including Frank Parrow of Agawam, Robert Phillips of Maine, John Phillips of Maryland, Dorothy Phillips of Massachusetts, Evelyn Leclair of Southwick and several great-nieces and great-nephews. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main Street followed by burial in Agawam Center Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street from 9:30 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made to the Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main Street, Agawam, MA 0 1001.
