BRILLION NEWS published Feb.20, 1925, Friday
A great number of friends and relatives from here attended the funeral service of Henry Zick, which were held from the Charley Zick home 2 1/2 miles northeast of the village, at one o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. Following the services at the home, there were services at the German M.E. church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Ed. Hug, assisted by other pastors, with interment at the cemetery northeast of Billion.

Henry Zick, son of Martin and Frederika Zick, born in Germany on October 26, 1850, came to America in 1872, settling on a farm in the town of Brillion. On Nov. 1, 1876, he was married to Miss Caroline Bastian of New Holstein, who preceded him in death some twenty years ago.

Disposing of the homestead farm about five years ago, he had, since that time, lived with his son Charley. He enjoyed a fair degree of health and was still very active, having taken a trip to Kansas last fall, accompanied by his daughter Miss Clara of Sheboygan. He had been on a visit to Seymour recently, returning on Tuesday afternoon of last week; on Wednesday, he attended the Farmers' Institute at Brillion; was taken ill toward the close of the week and died about half past nine on Saturday evening.

Surviving him are three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Thiel and Mrs. John Reim of Seymour, and Miss Clara Zick of Sheboygan; one son, Charley; two brothers, Fred of Seymour and William of Brillion; and six grandchildren.
