Latishia D. Cooper, affectionately known to friends and family as "Pat", passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at her home in Indio, Calif.
She was born October 21, 1944 to
Clifton and Wilma Foster in Bragg City, Mo.
Pat was a strong independent woman who dedicated her life as a devoted caretaker for her father. She was also an adored member of the Indio Moose Lodge.
Pat is survived by
her daughter, Ramona Penalber of Indio, Calif.;
son, Eddie Legarreta of La Quinta, Calif.;
sisters,
Paulette DiGiorgio of Roanoke, Va.,
Brenda Sue Dunson of Indio, Calif.
and Claudia Negrillo of Los Osos, Calif.;
brothers,
Bobby Foster of Indio, Calif.
and Jerry Foster of Lake Elsinore, Calif.
She leaves behind a legacy of
seven grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren with the eighth one on the way.
She was preceded in death by
her father, Clifton F. Foster;
mother, Wilma Foster;
sister, Louanna Foster.
Pat, beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother will be sincerely missed.
Memorial services will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Casillas Family Funeral Home in Coachella, Calif.
Interment will immediately follow the memorial at Coachella Valley Cemetery.
