Service for Sue Nivens, 98, of Bridgeport was Monday, June 18, at Alvord First Baptist Church. Dr. Bill Dye and the Rev. Bill Cleveland officiated. Burial followed at Alvord Cemetery.
Nivens died Friday, June 15, 2001, at home.
Born Sept. 20, 1902, in Bell County, she was a retired teacher and postal clerk. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Nivens, in 1985 and her parents, George and Alice Raley.
Survivors are a daughter, Marylou Conquest and her husband, J. Lee; three grandchildren, Steve Jones, Sue Ann Denton and Vicki Niblett; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Leona Hardee.
